Hong Kong magazine reports that 38-year-old Gigi Lai is already two months pregnant.

Splashed on cover page of Next Magazine published on Wednesday, was news that Lai is two months pregnant. It was reported that even before marrying 52-year-old Steven Ma, she has already been making mental preparations for motherhood. For the past six months, she has been seeking advices from friends who are already mothers on pregnancy. Apparently, she has also been off contraception for some time. The report also revealed that Lai has been seeking both Chinese physician and gynecologist's advices at the same time, "desperate" to become a mother soon.

According to previous reports, Lai and husband have long chosen the most medically advanced labor ward in an Australian hospital to deliver their baby. Besides having excellent gynecology services, the noble labor ward also has tight security for these pregnant women to enjoy privacy.

Edison starting afresh from Singapore

A year after the outbreak of sex photo scandal, Edison Chen is officially making his return to showbiz with Singapore as his first destination!

According to sources, Chen has been invited by a fast food chain to be guest for a product launch on Feb 27 in Singapore. The press release for the product launch merely stated "a very special guest star from Hong Kong" will be attending the event. When media tried to confirm who the special guest is, they refused to reveal his or her name. The organizer is taking every precaution to protect Chen; his entire schedule in Singapore is kept at high confidentiality.

The organizer said Chen will be making his appearance as "personal friend" of their client.

The product launch will be a closed door event open only to invited guests. Besides Chen, several local artistes are also invited. The United States and Denmark ambassadors to Singapore have also received invitations.

Chief Operating Officer of Singapore film distribution company Scorpio East, Lim Teck, who has been acquainted with Chen a few years back from movies collaborations, found the latter a young man with ideals and ambitions about movies. "He does not make movies for the sake of earning money. If he wasn't affected by the sex photos scandal, he should have been even more famous by now. I admire Edison for his ambitious nature and I do not rule out the possibility of producing a movie with him," Lim said. However, he also pointed out that an "upright yet evil" character would suit Chen's image more.

On the other hand, managing director of MediaCorp Raintree Pictures, Daniel Yun, also revealed that there had been plans to cast Chen in their new film; however, he said, "Sadly at the moment, there are no scripts which suit Chen."
